Since its formation in 1995, the NYGR has spearheaded and supported a range of developmental, preventive and rehabilitative programmes to reach out and help at-risk youths. These programmes encompass a balance of government-led and ground-initiated efforts, with many being joint collaborations between government agencies and community organisations. On top of synergising expertise, NYGR programmes aim to detect issues faced by at-risk youths and provide the necessary resources and services to address their needs.
The NYGR programmes/schemes – categorised under five focus areas – provide a comprehensive view of the holistic approach that NYGR adopts in tackling juvenile delinquency and youth crime in Singapore. |
